Three people dead, two wounded in Spanish stabbing rampage
Oct 29, 2011, 8:57 GMT
Valencia, Spain - Three people were dead and two seriously wounded in the Spanish coastal city of Valencia Saturday after a man went on a rampage with a knife in an apartment building.
The 33-year-old man allegedly rang a series of doorbells in the building, stabbing wildly at any residents who opened their door. The dead included a man, his son and a female pensioner, police reported.
The man's wife, the mother of the boy, was seriously injured and hospitalized. The alleged knife wielder was overwhelmed by a resident and arrested by police.
No motive for the attack was known, though authorities suspect it might be linked to tensions between neighbours.
