At least two killed in blast in home in north-eastern France

Paris - At least two people were killed in a fire triggered by a blast in a home in north-eastern France in the early hours of Tuesday, a local newspaper's website reported.
The blast took place shortly after 5 am (0400 GMT) in a two-storey building in the city of Mulhouse, around 100 kilometres south of Strasbourg, Dernieres Nouvelles d'Alsace (DNA) daily reported on its website.
The bodies of a man and a woman were found at the scene.
Emergency workers feared three more people may have perished in the blaze, the report added.
The cause of the explosion was unknown, but investigators suspected foul play after a neighbour saw a man fleeing the area after the blast, DNA reported.
Police were investigating the incident.
