Nov 3, 2011, 15:07 GMT
Vienna - An Austrian juvenile court judge was found guilty of buying child pornography online and sentenced to a fine on Thursday, the regional court in Steyr announced.
The 47-year-old judge was charged after police uncovered his habits in an internet raid on more than 100 consumers of child porn.
As he had no previous convictions and cooperated with police, he was given a suspended prison sentence of five months and a fine of 2,250 euros (3,090 dollars), pending appeal, a court spokesman said. The maximum punishment is two years.
His professional future is to be decided in separate disciplinary proceedings.
