Cuper resigns as coach of bottom team Santander
Nov 29, 2011, 21:49 GMT
Madrid - Struggling Spanish Liga side Racing Santander announced on Tuesday that coach Hector Cuper had resigned.
Santander are bottom of the table with just nine points and one win after 13 games.
Jose Fantaguzzise, Cuper's assistant, has taken temporary charge, whilst the club looks for a permanent replacement.
Santander are enmeshed in a profound financial and institutional crisis, after the departure of controversial Indian investor Ali Syed last summer.
Cuper, 56, is the second Liga coach to leave his club this season, the first one being Michael Laudrup at Mallorca in October.
