Dec 2, 2011, 16:54 GMT
Karlsruhe, Germany - Germany has indicted two men who were alleged to have trained in terrorism with al-Qaeda in the mountains along the Afghan-Pakistani border, prosecutors said in Karlsruhe on Friday.
Yusuf O, a 26-year-old German national, and Maqsood L, a 22-year-old Austrian national, will both face charges in Berlin of membership in a foreign terrorist organization. No trial date has been set yet.
The indictment says they were sent back to Europe to raise money and recruits. Authorities arrested them in spring this year in Berlin and in Vienna.
