US Treasury Secretary Geithner to meet European officials

Washington - US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner will travel to Europe next week to discuss the debt crisis plaguing the eurozone.
Geithner will meet with European Central Bank President Mario Draghi and German Bundesbank President Jens Weidmann in Frankfurt Tuesday, before travelling to Berlin for talks with German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schauble, the Treasury Department said.
On Wednesday he will hold talks with French President Nicolas Sarkozy and Finance Minister Francois Baroin in Paris and Spanish prime minister-elect Mariano Rajoy in Marseille.
He also plans to meet Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti on Thursday.
