Hamburg rule out getting Adler in January

Hamburg - SV Hamburg have no plans to sign former Germany goalkeeper Rene Adler in January, but don't rule out an effort to get him in summer, along with an expected return of midfielder Maximilian Beister.
Hamburg sports director Frank Arnesen said on Wednesday that the 26-year-ols Bayer Leverkusen man Adler will be 'no issue' during the hibernation period, while not dismissing speculation that Hamburg will aim to get him next season.
The current Hamburg goalkeeper Jaroslav Drobny, 32, has become one of the top players in recent weeks after a poor start into the season.
Adler, 26, has not played this season after summer knee surgery and is tipped to leave Leverkusen after the season, having allegedly had financial demands turned down and teenager Bernd Leno playing well in his absence.
Arnesen also said that Hamburg have offered the Germany under-21 midfielder Beister a contract renewal until 2016. Beister has a deal until 2013, but is currently on loan at second division leaders Fortuna Dusseldorf and has caught the attention of Leverkusen and Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund.
