Swedish 10-year-old kills 4-year-old boy
Dec 14, 2011, 16:22 GMT
Stockholm - Swedish police said Wednesday they had solved the killing of a 4-year-old in southern Sweden, saying the boy had been strangled by a 10-year-old boy.
The incident occurred two months ago in the small town of Ljungby, triggering an extensive probe involving interviews with about 30 children aged between 5 and 15.
The small boy was strangled with a skipping rope. He had initially been reported as missing. His body was eventually found in some woods near a playground.
Social welfare authorities said the 10-year-old has been taken into care. Just as the police, they have not offered details of the case or what triggered the incident.
The boys were not related, police spokesman Robert Loeffel told Swedish Radio news.
