Oslo - Authorities in western Norway on Sunday issued an alert and ordered an evacuation following a landslide in a valley west of the city of Trondheim.
At least 20 people were evacuated from their homes and farms in the rural area near Esp, but there were no initial reports of injuries or damage, the Norwegian news agency NTB reported.
Two helicopters were dispatched to ascertain the extent of the landslide and assist with the evacuation.
The country's weather service said an unusually wet and mild winter could have been a contributed to the landslide.
