Report: Paris Saint-Germain launch bid for Pato
Jan 11, 2012, 9:38 GMT
Rome - French club Paris Saint-Germain have opened negotiations to sign AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato with a bid of 28 million euros (35.7 million dollars), La Gazzetta dello Sport reported Wednesday.
The offer comes after weeks of mooted contacts between the two clubs, which gathered steam in late December with the arrival in Paris of coach Carlo Ancelotti.
The former boss of Juventus and Chelsea coached Pato at Milan for two seasons since the Brazilian joined the Devils in 2007.
It appears that the Ligue 1 leaders could strengthen the bid for the 22-year-old international with 10 more million euros in bonuses.
A total of 38 million euros, however, would still fall short of the Devils' alleged request of 45 million euros.
