Jan 11, 2012, 21:49 GMT
Athens - A strong bomb exploded Wednesday evening, shaking the Athenian suburb of Agios Dimitrios.
According to initial reports on Greek radio, there were no injuries.
A police officer told dpa that the bomb had been placed under the car belonging to the wife of the head of Greek fire and rescue services. Police had not determined the origin of the attack, whether it was criminal or terrorist in origin.
Anarchistic groups in Greece carry out similar attacks on a one-off basis. The call themselves urban guerillas and aim to destroy what they call 'the system.'
