Feb 7, 2012, 21:46 GMT
Kiel, Germany - Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund strolled into the semi-finals of the German cup, ending the impressive run of fourth-division Holstein Kiel with a 4-0 victory on Tuesday night.
Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring in the 12th, and Shinji Kagawa fired high into the net six minutes later as Kiel had to bury their hopes of another miracle early. Substitute Lucas Barrios and Ivan Perisic's free-kick wrapped up matters in the final 10 minutes.
Kiel had defeated second-division teams Energie Cottbus and MSV Duisburg as well as Bundesliga side Mainz without conceding a goal en route to the quarter-finals.
The other three games are Wednesday: VfB Stuttgart v Bayern Munich, Hertha Berlin v Borussia Moenchengladbach and Hoffenheim v second-division Greuther Fuerth. The semi-finals are March 20-21, and the final is May 12 in Berlin.
