Kostelic clinches super-combined World Cup title

Krasnaya Polyana, Russia - Ivica Kostelic clinched the season's alpine ski World Cup super-combined trophy with victory Sunday in Krasnaya Polyana near Sochi.
The 32-year-old Croatian came from 15th in the downhill to win following the slalom at the 2014 winter Olympics ski venue and also increase his lead in the overall standings.
He posted a combined time of 2 minutes 50.21 seconds to beat Saturday's downhill winner Beat Feuz, who led the downhill leg, by 1.16 seconds, with Thomas Mermillod Blondin of France third.
Kostelic, who now has six wins this season, moves to 1,043 points in the standings, with Feuz on 973 and Marcel Hirscher of Austria on 825.
The men's World Cup moves next weekend to Bansko, Bulgaria with giant slalom and slalom races.
