French TV: 2 children, 1 adult killed in Jewish school shooting
Mar 19, 2012, 8:55 GMT
Paris - An adult and two children were gunned down as the day began at a Jewish school in the southern French city of Toulouse on Monday, media reported, citing police and medics.
Two people were injured, according to reports from broadcaster BFM.
Witnesses saw a black scooter at the scene, similar to that seen at two previous attacks on soldiers in Toulouse and the nearby town of Montauban. Three soldiers died in those incidents and one was seriously injured.
France's chief rabbi Giles Bernheim said he was 'horrified' at the shooting, BFM reported.
The Interior Ministry immediately increased security at Jewish facilities around the country. Interior Minister Claude Gueant was to visit the scene later in the day.
