See elsewhere on M&C - to their credit, the Greek Government has decided to move implementation of this ban forward to September 2009.
Now, if only the ban actually works, unlike most of their lesser smoking bans...
I have lived in Greece for 20+years the smoking ban (unfortunately) is unlikely to work as the way it is being started is already a farce! Allowing places under 40sq m to choose to be smoking or non smoking has already barred non smokers from most of the bars and restaurants in Greece! Also there are tales of you will be fined etc - from whom - by whom? Phone number - organisation? Will someone arrive as soon as the complaint has been made?
This ban is dommed for failure as once again the Greek laws are deeply flawed which allows most people to find enormous loop holes! A ban is a ban not a half hearted attempt!
