Definitely worth a try with lice becoming resistant to those chemicals anyway. My first offense though is the Bug Bag.
It's being used in schools throughout Europe for close to a decade now and has greatly reduced the cases of head lice.
A child simply puts his/her coat in a specially designed and easy to use 'tent' (for lack of a better word. YThe Bug Bag has a patented seal on the top so lice can not spread from one coat to another.
Their website is www.bugbagusa.com.
It's better to prevent than to cure is what I say.
