Nine-year-old child latest swine flu victim in Britain

London - A nine-year-old child has died in London after contracting swine flu, health officials said Monday.

The death brings to five the total number of people in Britain who have succumbed to the H1N1 virus, including two children and a teenage boy.

The number of diagnosed cases in Britain is nearing 2,000.
