More schools close as Hong Kong records two more swine-flu deaths

Hong Kong - Two more people have died of swine flu in Hong Kong, bringing its total fatalities to 18 and leading to the closure of more schools, health officials said Thursday.
The deaths came as the government continued to exercise strict measures to halt the spread of the virus, closing 25 schools with confirmed H1N1 infections over the past three days.
The latest victims were two men, aged 63 and 34, both of whom had other health problems.
On Monday, the head of the World Health Organization, Margaret Chan, advised the city to relax its measure against the spread of the virus and instead focus on reducing the number of serious cases.
However, the densely populated former British colony is particularly sensitive to virus outbreaks after the severe acute respiratory syndrome, or SARS, outbreak killed 299 people and infected around 1,800 in 2003.
The city has seen 23,898 cases of swine flu, of which 97 have been classified as serious.
