Nov 9, 2009, 15:14 GMT
Belgrade - Serbia has extended the autumn school break for the second time in the past week to reduce the impact of the swine flu, Education Minister Zarko Obradovic said Tuesday.
The vacation has been extended by an additional six days, from this Wednesday through Monday, November 16. The original vacation period, November 5 and 6, was first extended by two school days.
Obradovic told the Beta news agency that the vacation period was being extended again to reduce the risk of spreading the influenza virus.
Serbian health authorities have confirmed 254 cases of swine flu, and seven people have died so far from the virus.
