New Delhi, July 13 (IANS) British monarch Queen Elizabeth II Thursday expressed her 'deep shock' at the terror attacks in Mumbai and conveyed her 'sympathy and admiration' for those 'coping with consequences' of the deadly bomb blasts in India.
'I was deeply shocked to learn of the many deaths and injuries caused by the recent bombings in Mumbai,' the queen said in her message to President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
'A sense of horror at these terrible acts has been deeply felt in the United Kingdom together with the greatest sympathy and admiration for all those who have been coping with their consequences,' she stressed.
'My thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of all those killed and injured,' she added.
Earlier, British Prime Minister Tony Blair had condemned 'brutal and shameful' serial blasts in Mumbai and Srinagar Tuesday that killed over 200 people and left hundreds injured.
