Over 1,000 kg of marijuana seized in Delhi

New Delhi, April 12 (IANS) A large quantity of narcotics substance valued at Rs.2 million in the international market was recovered in the national capital, police said Thursday.
At least 1,080 kg of marijuana stuffed in 35 packets was recovered early Thursday after a Police Control Room (PCR) van intercepted a truck loaded with drugs near Mangolpuri in northwest Delhi.
The police have arrested Rajesh, one of the accused, while two of his accomplices managed to flee from the spot.
'Efforts are on to nab the accused and investigations are on to find the source of the drugs,' said Kumar Gyanesh, assistant commissioner of police.
