I pay more taxes than Hrithik: Amitabh

Mumbai, April 29 (IANS) Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan claims he is the 'top' tax payer in the country with Rs.15.59 crore (Rs.155.9 million), and with Aishwarya Rai joining the family, the Bachchan family's total tax would be around Rs.25.3 crore (Rs.253 million).
He was reacting to a newspaper report that said Hrithik Roshan was the highest tax payer with Rs.15.10 crore (Rs.151 million) for 2006-2007 and Shah Rukh paid Rs.14 crore (Rs.140 million) tax.
'I'm surprised by the report and I've serious doubts about its authenticity. Because my name isn't mentioned anywhere among the top most taxpayers of the entertainment business. This gives the utterly false impression that I make pots of money and don't pay up enough taxes,' Amitabh told IANS.
Clarifying that he tops among the tax-payers of the country, the Big B said: 'If you look at the figures for the year 2006-2007, you'll see Amitabh, that's yours truly, has paid Rs.14.15 crore and from our company AB Corp Ltd. where all the earnings are mine, we've paid Rs.1.44 crore.
'Abhishek Bachchan has paid Rs.4.75 crore. And now that Aishwarya Rai is a part of the family, approximately Rs.5 crore tax money has come from her. This makes it a total of Rs.25.3 crore (Rs.253 million).
'And yet they've put Hrithik as the top most taxpayer! Even if you take my tax figures individually I still top.'

That's such a rude way to comment on anyone Mr India.. well well everyone has a voice and someone wants to use it to say bad things about others they only show the upbringing they had in spilling mud on others. I doubt how clear concoius u got kid.
The fact is that Amitabh's family has had multiple instances of stealing tax. The really expensive cars being gifted after registration in Delhi. Trying to buying agricultural land by claiming to be farmers.
WELL... We know it all. There is no need to point fingers at others !
Hrithik paid 15 & Abhishek just 4.5...thats competitors & Hrithik isway ahead. Isthis why Sr. Bachchan is being paranoid ?
why do you beleive in these articles. Don't you know they are lies and rumours told just to get the public excited. There is no way you can know a celebrity via reading articles. You guys are putting too much faith in the people who write these articles. Their job is to sell and they will tell all sorts of lies to sell.

if the news is true then amit ji is geting cheep to show his status bigger then others . from the last few months it has been seen that he is trying to show him self better then others .
who cares about these jokers, dancing around, get ajob, get a life and have clas when it comes to endorsing stuff. Now go distribut sweets oor something.
Think about the soicety. after your death, do people rember you for your charity or your wealth.
try to learn from bill gates. provide some proportion of your weath for the betterment of people, from whose name you became rich : lawaris, coolie, deewar and so on.
Budhau poora paagal ho gaya hai. AB Jr. does not pay much tax coz he does not earn much anyways. Heard that he is planning to become house-husband now that 'bahurani' has been 'allowed' to work by budhau. He has really hit rock-bottom as budhau and bahuani already teasing him about not having a wax statue. And media does not write anything negative about budhau coz they are all scared of him as he is the monopolistic guy of Bollywood, snatching every square-inch of tv screen and movie frame and newspaper columns.
I am not fan of the Bachchans but it is painfully obvious that the media is feeling so frustrated at not being allowed to cover the wedding of the century that they are taking cheap shots at the Bachchans since this whole thing started. Bachchan dislikes the media anyway, and he has never spoken such cheap words before. Just the other day, right after the wedding there were articles proclaiming that SRK is such hot property that his upcoming film has sold for X amount of crores etc etc. A consolation over the fact that he wasn't invited and his ego was bruised? Hehe
Bonjour, Ne vous inquiétez pas je ne veux insulter personne, mais ce que Monsieur A. Bachchan dit me laisse sans voix. Car je ne pensais pas qu'une personne aussi intelligente et d'un certain âge que vous se permet de dire qu'il paie plus d'impôt qu'un autre, vous entrez dans le jeu des autres et je ne crois pas que cela plaira à votre belle fille Aishwarya, car c'est une fille discrète, qui n'aime pas qu'on étale sa vie par tout, et cela ne fait même pas 11 jours qu'elle est mariée à votre fils vous clamez tout haut qu'elle a un total avec la famille de de 253 millions, moi je trouve que c'est personnel et que ces choses là n'ont pas besoin d'être étalées au grand jour. Pour une personne qui aime faire les choses dans l'intimité exemple le mariage, car nous les fans nous aurions souhaités suivre son mariage car cela montrait qu'elle pensait à nous ses fans et qu'elle nous remerciait d'être toujours présents et surtout qu'on l'aime, même pour votre fils c'est pareil pour ses fans. C'est pour cela Monsieur A. Bachchan il y a des choses qu'on peut parler mais lorsque cela touche l'argent il faut éviter car tout le monde ne roule pas sur des millions et il y a des malheureux qui n'ont rien à manger ou même pas de toit, je trouve que c'est insultant pour eux d'étaler sa richesse. Sans rancune , mais je continuerai à aimer Aishwarya RAI car je suis très fan d'elle et votre fils à le respecter parcequ'il est marié à ma princesse.
