Ashiana to build retirement resort in Jaipur

Jaipur, Dec 12 (IANS) Real estate company Ashiana group is building a retirement resort called 'Ashiana Utsav' here, expected to cost Rs.1 billion, said a company official.
The company is developing the project in association with Jaipur-based real estate developers Manglam Builders. Besides the retirement resort, it also plans houses and flats for the general category of buyers.
Vishal Gupta, joint managing director of the company, told IANS the primary intention of the project was to enable senior citizens a life of comfort and dignity during their post-retirement years.
A special complex is being built on a plot of about 8.5 acres, where flats will be priced between Rs.1.4 million and Rs.2.2 million.
The possession of the apartments is likely to be given by June 2009. The project is spread over 27 acres, of which 2.3 acres are landscaped parks.
Ashiana has been in the housing development sector for the last two decades. The group commenced operations in 1979 at Patna. It has since extended its activities to Jamshedpur, Bhiwadi, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Gurgaon, Greater Noida, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Lucknow.
