Bangalore, Dec 13 (IANS) MRO-TEK Ltd, a leading network solutions firm, has bagged a Rs.30-million deal from an Indian telecommunications service provider to install switches to deliver data services, the company said here Thursday.
It will install Ethernet access devices, called Daisy, to facilitate seamless delivery of data services. The firm, however, did not disclose the name of the telecommunications firm, citing a non-disclosure agreement.
'The telecom operator will use our switch to provide Ethernet connectivity to its customers across the country. The multi-year deal includes integration, maintenance and software upgradation for expanding capacity and scaling the service,' MRO-TEK chairman and managing director S. Narayanan said in a statement.
'We see a huge potential for deploying the product (Daisy) in the wake of a phenomenal growth of data services in the country. The switch will enable enterprises to deliver high bandwidth services to their end-users in India and overseas,' Narayanan added.
The Rs.1.2-billion product firm has invested Rs.1 million in research and development to roll out a range of networking products and customised solutions for last-mile access in partnership with RAD Data Communications Ltd of Israel.
