Benchmark market index recovers a little

Mumbai, Dec 14 (IANS) The Indian stock markets opened in the red Friday morning but later recovered some ground with some much-needed buying support. The key index added 35 points at 20,139.
The 30-share sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) lost 271.48 points or about 1.33 percent to 20,104.39 yesterday after achieving a new peak of 20,498.11 points in Thursday's opening session.
The wider 50-share S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange registered a fall of 154 points and opened at 6,019.25 points, conceding a loss of 101 points in Thursday's session.
