Iran tests first home-made fighter plane
Sep 6, 2006, 16:11 GMT
Tehran - Iran said Wednesday it has successfully tested its first home-made fighter plane Saeqeh (Lightning) during military manoeuvres, state news agency IRNA reported.
An army spokesman said that the plane was similar to the US F-18 fighter and was designed, remodelled and improved by Iranian experts without any help from outside.
State television carried short footage of the plane's takeoff and flight. There was no neutral assessment of the new Iranian fighter as military tests in Iran are usually carried out without impartial observers being present.

The only thing wrong with fighter planes is you have to know how to fly them, and you need to know how to fight with them. The U.S.has the best trained pilots in the WORLD!!!!
