Rationality suggests that Sec'y State Condi Rice would be unwelcome in the Middle East at this time during a war which the USA has fomented with ignoring of human rights as the western world supposedly respects them. Therefore, to publish that the Sec'y of State is going to be at a conference - which at the most probably is scheduled to be a three-way phone call - continues to imply that the average citizen anywhere cannot differentiate between a real visit and a pretend simulated meeting, the latter of which the Bush Jr. administration perpetuates. Diplomats staying in their own countries while wielding foreign portfolios of influence have been embarrassing to those who value honesty in public service. When the cabinet of the USA federal government allows employee spokespeople to assert their bosses are engaging in actual negotiations without specifying the nature of the communications is electronic (a substitute with validity in dangerous hours), the arrogant entitlement of appointees is increasingly discouraging. If the Sec'y of St. is going into a basement media room for a session which is edited for security reasons and which is similarly handled in the situations of the other conversing leaders, what would be wrong with sharing this mechanism of diplomacy 2007 with folks generally?
