Mideast Quartet to meet, Rice says in Berlin
Jan 17, 2007, 19:30 GMT
Berlin - US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Wednesday that the Mideast Quartet comprised of Russia, the United States, the UN and the European Union was likely to meet early next month in a bid to kickstart Middle East peace talks.
Rice, speaking after talks in Berlin with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, said the quartet was 'the guardian' of the international efforts to achieve peace between Israel and the Palestinians.
Steinmeier said reviving the quartet to lead to Mideast peace was vital because it meant the international community would speak with one voice.
Rice added that the quartet would meet in Washington during the week beginning January 29, probably on February 1 or 2.

What part of being an idiot that Miss Rice doesn't understand. She is Hired by an Idiot. with policies that are idiotic and as cunning as she may seem to others it actually hides her incompetence and that qualifies her as being an idiot. The middle east crises, caused partly by her boss and her, is very complicated and neither her or George Bush is qualified to resolved it. I don't understand why the American public don't solve this problem Known as Bushism by firing the president this will be part of solving the mid. east problems.
