Explosion rocks Baghdad's Sadr City, "10 killed" - report (Roundup)

Baghdad/Cairo - At least 10 people were killed and 43 wounded on Saturday in an explosion in the predominantly Shiite Baghdad suburb of Sadr City, Voices of Iraq news agency quoted police sources as saying.
'A car rigged with explosives and driven by a suicide bomber was detonated near a bridge that leads to Sadr City,' the sources told the news agency.
According to the sources, the explosion targeted an Iraqi army checkpoint where six soldiers were reportedly killed due to the blast.
Initial reports of the incident had said that 20 people had been killed.
Meanwhile mortars were reportedly fired close to the Baghdad venue that was hosting a landmark international conference on the future of Iraq, according to the same source.
The conference, which discussed Iraqi security and was meant by the government to be a show of the support the cabinet has from neighbouring states, was being held outside the city's fortified 'green zone,' in the headquarters of the Foreign Ministry.
Separately, three Iraqi soldiers were killed during raids in and around Baghdad during the last 24 hours, according to a statement issued by the joint Iraqi army and police operations centre, newly installed to oversee operations under the new security plan for Iraq termed 'Fard al-Qanoon.'

Why can't the US technology loctae the car bombers before they come in, in the shite ares?
Why can't the colonists find out the origin of bombs?
Why are the shiites being disarmed, in face of all these mass murders and deaths?
