Olmert, Abbas meeting gets under way in Jerusalem (Extra)
Mar 11, 2007, 16:19 GMT
Jerusalem - Israeli Premier Ehud Olmert met Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Jerusalem late Sunday afternoon, for talks which aides warned would not lead to any 'dramatic breakthrough' but were simply aimed at keeping communication channels open.
Israel Radio reported that the first part of the talks, held at Olmert official residence, would see Israeli and Palestinian teams, headed by Olmert and Abbas, confer, after which the prime minister and the president would have a one-on-one parley.
Sunday's meeting was the third between the two men since December 24.
