Mar 26, 2007, 12:31 GMT
Oslo - Norwegian Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store was slated to attend an Arab League summit in Riyadh this week, the Foreign Ministry in Oslo said Monday.
Among items to be discussed at the summit Wednesday were developments in Lebanon and efforts to form a Palestinian unity government.
Norway last week became the first Western country to meet with Hamas leader and Prime Minister Ismail Haniya.
Store's deputy, State Secretary Raymond Johansen conducted the talks with Haniya.
Johansen had also planned to meet with Israeli officials, but the meetings were cancelled over his talks with Haniya.
Store has said Oslo wanted to engage in a dialogue with all sides.
Among delegates at the summit were United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.
