Diplomacy can only accomplish so much with a government that is so hostile as to perform piracy on the high seas, and so incompetent that they can't even lie convincingly about what they have done.
Here is what needs to happen ASAP.
All representatives of Iran in the free world (especially New York) should be immediately rounded up and detained.
The two U.S. Carrier fleets park off Iranian shores need to begin the systematic destruction of the Iranian Navy.
U.S. and British Bomber wings need to destroy the only oil refinery in Iran.
U.S. and British Bomber wings need to begin the systematic destruction of the Iranian Electrical and communications infrastructure.
These are all things that can be done immediately that would not only ensure an end to this crisis but would likely prevent any future incidents.
They just need to go in there and get those sailors before we're watching poor quality videos of them being decapitated.
And then nuke the entire middle east. Enough is enough.
What is a reasonable response?
We have given these iranian pirates enough time lets just go in and get our sailors using as much force as is nessesary then nuke Tehran,if we dont make a stand against them soon we will have another 9/11.

There is no way the US or israel will allow iran to have nukes in any shape or form after all this is just diversionary tactics with the hope that people wont notice whats going on in the background or a hope of exchanging thier captured people for ours. i will be amazed if iran isnt attacked by america or israel before the end of the bush presidency.

Why is it better to take the high road? What deterrence does it provide those that would cause us harm? If the western world can be relied on by it's enemies to always take the high road, then piracy and terrorism become legitimate tactics and tools of statecraft. It's a process whereby we in the states have been unknowingly provoking attacks because our enemies see diplomacy as our greatest weakness. Primarily because we rely on it too often.
Whatever the solution let us just outrule stupid plans like nuking Iran.THat is so stupid that it(s a shame to civilized thinking.

Abu Eisha told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa over the telephone that his government urged the European Union and the International Community to supply guides or manuals on how to properly use toilets and toilet paper. He advised direct contact with the paper and arse after all members of the Hamas uses the hole.
His remarks were made in response to EU foreign ministers, who stated that standing on the toilet to take a crap was messy, and that the paper is not for writting on. The non-Hamas ministers have been useing the toilets properly but are so used to digging holes in the ground they are confused as are the entire Palestinian coalition.

Cost of the war to unsuccessfully retrieve the seamen - Around $300 billion. Lives lost in the unsuccessful attempt - In the thousands.
Why unsuccessful you ask? Ask Israel, they tried it in Lebanon, and Iran is 100 times the size of Lebanon. It would be highly unlikely the seamen are held at Tehran Police headquarters !!

On Thursday, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip that the case had entered an illegal investigation phase, state television reported.
Ansari also reiterated Iran's stance that the British government could resolve the crisis by admitting the Irainian sailors took the hostages after they entered Iraqi waters.
'If the U.K. government admits it was in Iraqi waters and apologizes to no one for its naval personnel's UN mandated interdiction of our arms shipments in Iraqi territorial waters, the issue can be easily settled,' he said.
The diplomat claimed the British government has us diplomatic avenues to avoid the crisis by taking the matter to the U.N. Security Council rather than resolving it on a bilateral basis which would not work any how.
Next step for April 6, 2007 attack is to make it 'NATO ' problem and interference. The lying couple like the rest of the western world go step by step towards their goal.

Things are bad now, but they can certainly get worse. The one way to guarantee a new 9/11 is to engage in a hopeless and excessive knee-jerk venture like a pre-emptive nuclear war with Iran! (lol)
Whatever the west intends to gain with all this perpetual involvement in middle eastern affairs will definitely fall flat if something that extreme is undertaken, given that anti-western sentiment will skyrocket throughout the region, and most of the more western-friendly moderate regimes will quickly be replaced by militant ones. If I were Bin Laden, the one thing I would be praying for is a nuclear attack against Iran.
Even a CONVENTIONAL western invasion of another Islamic nation would be extremely useful in hardening the collective antiwestern resolve, and further proliferating international terrorism.
Obviously to apologize is a confession of malfeasence. Teran knows this and may have plotted it out to embarass the British. Note that they refere to them as the occupying country. That's the way to make friends. Shoot trespassers, even if they don't deserve it.

Might wanna keep something in mind, ladies. The US and Britain have been doing a lot of threatening. Iran basically said 'Here I am, what are you going to do about it?' Ask the british generals. They said they often did enter Iranian waters but Iran simply left them alone and just gave them warnings. This time, they took them in. Why is this so wrong when Iran says they entered its waters, but it is perfectly ok for the Americans to take Iranians from the consulate in Iraq?
If it's wrong for one, it's wrong for all. Bush administration is making 'animal farm' relevant to the new age. All animals are equal (United Nations), but some animals are more equal than others (Security Council). Why don't you address the issue of Nuclear Weapons in Israel AS THEIR OWN PRESIDENT STATED THEY HAD IN AN INTERVIEW, and then deal with the off-chance that Iran 'may' pursue those weapons sometime in the future, considering nothing found there so far has indicated enrichment beyond that needed for energy production.
You can't touch Iran. And it's your own fault. Bring someone into society, and they learn to rely on others. Try to push them aside, and they learn to become self-reliant, such as the case with Iran. CIA overthrow of the democratically elected leader of Iran in 1953. A US/Britain/etc country support of Iraq in its war against Iran, which you still failed to win. And grouping Iran as an 'axis of evil' when they were helping you in Afghanistan.
When you keep doing that, you wonder why they are so aggressive towards you. Iran is different from the other countries, in that it is an Aryan Nation. Iran itself means Land of the Aryans. Aryan Nations never perish. The Iraniak Secret Service is currently more active and successful than the CIA - they were initially trained by the CIA during the Shah's time, but have expanded on what they were taught. Iran won't take any form of bullying. Would you? No. So don't blame them for it. And keep in mind that Iran has not initiated a war in the last century, while Britain, Russia, United States, and etc..all have. Isn't it quite humourous that the only country to have used Nuclear Weapons on civilians...a country that also has NOT signed on to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act...and has Initiated wars so recently, with NO CAUSE, that have claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people....tells Iran what to do?
Good luck if you try to touch Iran. Iran is the king of Proxy Armies. You wanna take down Iran, you gotta take out the entire middleeast. Do that, and you have the price of oil go up at least 10x. You wanna pay $30/gallon for gas? Be my guest. Oh...and another thing...your jewish friends in Israel would all be dead. Why do you care about Israel? You shouldn't. But Jews run America. Dear Armageddon, your conclusions are as wrong as those being made by the Iranian government. This has much less to do with taking on the western world than it has to do with creating nationalistic fervor in a population that overwhelmingly supports the Non-Proliferation treaty. The Iranian people are also overwhelmingly in favor of being a nuclear free zone by a margin of 7 to 3. So the Iranian government decided that they had to do something immediately to prevent a backlash from a people that are more and more often at odds with the way their government does business with the world community.
There's a certain amount of truth in that statement as well, given that so many Iranians have a far more moderate view than the extremists among them who get so much more western coverage.
The historical perspective and wider political context in Armageddon's statement is basically right-on, however.
