Syrian man arrested crossing into Israel for medical aid
Apr 13, 2007, 18:55 GMT
Jerusalem - A Syrian citizen was caught and arrested by Israeli security forces Friday when he tried to cross illegally into Israeli-controlled territory.
According to Israeli security officials, the 24-year-old man said during questioning that he had crossed the border to seek medical treatment in Israel as he suffers from serious health problems.
The officials added that Israel will determine what to do with him after interrogating him, and verifying his story.
The man, who was unarmed, was caught inside the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights, which Israel captured from Syria in the 1967 war. The two countries do not have a peace treaty or normal relations.
A UN force supervises the demilitarized zone between Syria and the Golan, and it is still unclear how the man crossed over.
There have been previous incidents of Syrians crossing into the Golan, however most were accidental, and they were returned to Syria.

Had that been an isaeli going into syria they the syrians would have shot him,at least israel will give him some help before he is sent back.
Sounds a little phony to me. Probably planted by the jew to portray the chosen ones as human rather than the abhorrent animals they are. Only the pathetically stupid would be so easily duped.
yes... jealousy.

Maybe he was lost. It'd be cool if he got medical help and then got to go home.
