stop your lies mr bushMay 2nd, 2007 - 19:49:06

bush's war needs to be stopped.

impeach him. pull the funding bring the troops home. this is not a war for freedom, democracy or standing up to a threat to the world.

they deserve better then being over worked, put in harms way for nothing but ego and pride. these men and women are our hero's they have done what was asked of them. we should do them justice, bring them home and take care of them. support the troops and bring them back home ALIVE.

Iraq 'success' possible without end to violence, Bush says

this is totally true--these morons have been killing each other for centuries...but the success is having them reduce the muslim population by about 85% thru 'self genocides'

Bush is worried about congress infringing on his powers. But recently he was looking for a 'was czar' to whom he could cede his power.

The United States was created by men who believed that the process of reaching consensus could keep us free from tyranny. That is why they gave congress, a group of people, the power to constrain the president. This is their duty. The previous congress neglected their duty, and have allowed this president to function as a tyrant. This congress is only little better, but they at least have demonstrated that they have the will to shoulder their responsibility.

I have a solution for Bush's problem: impeach him. Removing him from office will allow him to spend the rest of his life explaining to all who will listen that he was just about to win the war when he was thwarted. That will make him happy. The rest of us can then be happy about having finally held this petty tyrant accountable for at least some of his high crimes and misdemeanors.

Now who decides an acceptable level of violenceMay 2nd, 2007 - 19:59:22

So now, Mr. Bush has lower the bar for US success in Iraq. I am curious what an acceptable level of violence will be.
This guy is simply trying to pass the problem he created on to the next President, without trying to look like he gave in to the pressure.
Thinking about this guy simply upset me, to say the least. Lord have mercy on the souls of all the dead soldiers and Iraqis, and the ones that will still die before someone finally bring them home.

Bush put the troops in Iraq in the first place. He started an immoral, illegal and unnecessary war--ignoring world opinion, and UN inspectors. He (and especially Cheney) created the lies that enabled Congress to vote him unprecedented powers to wage the war. Bush never had any exit strategy, and keeps extending tours of an over-used National Guard. He reduces the benefits of veterans, and allows shamefully inadequate health care for them.

NOW HE BLAMES CONGRESS FOR NOT SUPPORTING THE TROOPS!

What is wrong with this picture?

Nothing. That is, as long as those oil leases are in place!

All discussion of The Iraq War must include its illegality, and oil leases
Otherwise it is smoke and mirrors.

After seeing this news story one thing stands clear:

George W. Bush couldn't make change for a dollar - he is that stupid.

Republicans should be ashamed. If not, they're as delousional as Mr. Bush is.

bush got into this mess against his father's best advice. But the filthy demoncraps who are willing to sell America down the drain for partisan politics are an order of magnitude worse than bush.

The US troops should only return when the Iraqi govt tells them they should return. Until then the US and British troops should stay in Iraq and try to fix the mess that WE the American people sent our troops there to create. WE the American people have lost the right to cry foul when, drunk with power and arrogance and armed with the ability to 'shock and awe', WE the people had our troops sent there. A full 76% supported the Iraq war when it started. And no, the 'lies' of the administration about Iraq and the WMDs are not new - they were known back then too. Now lets foot the bill and the losses and take responsibility for our actions.
