Tehran raps US intent to paint elite military as terrorists (Extra)

Tehran - Tehran on Wednesday branded as illegal the alleged intention by the United States government to formally apply the label of foreign terrorist organization to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
The government was reacting to reports in the Washington Post and New York Times Wednesday that US President George W Bush's administration is preparing to take the steps in order to disrupt financing for the elite military wing. Unnamed sources were cited in both papers.
Officials in Washington refused to confirm the reports but but the State Department stressed that Washington will keep up diplomatic pressure on Tehran.
Washington has accused units within the Revolutionary Guard of aiding Shiite Muslim militias and other insurgent groups within Iraq, including smuggling specialized landmines used to targeted armoured vehicles carrying US troops.
An unnamed foreign ministry official in Tehran told ISNA news agency that if the report were correct, then the move would contradict all legal standards and be regarded within the framework of propaganda and psychological war tactics by US against Iran.
The official further termed the Washington Post report itself as 'lacking professional norms.'
Tensions between Washington and Tehran have risen amid a continuing confrontation over the Iranian nuclear programme, which the US alleges is aimed at building weapons.
No state military unit has been previously designated by the United States as a terrorist organization, although Iran has been named as a state supporter of terrorism.

Is it unexpected from US? NO!
We muslims are wondering how did the butcher take so long time to expose his intentions and show his anti-Islam stance?
Muslims kill far more muslims than any other group. In fact, can anyone tell us a single religous group that kills more if it's own, ever?

It is unfathomable to me why so many Americans continue to both support the war and believe the official claptrap about it and the broader 'Global War on Terror.'
I would like to make a request to all journalists, with the goal of shining more light on the guilty parties. Just as the news media use terms like 'Iran-backed Hezbollah' and 'Iran-backed Shiite militants,' it is time for you and your colleagues to also use phrases like 'Saudi-backed Al Qaeda,' 'Saudi-backed Sunni Insurgents,' and 'Saudi-backed Taliban.' The next step would be to single out those Saudi nationals (and of other gulf states also ostensibly our 'friends' and 'allies') as terrorists and put them under the same list and same conditions as the White House is threatening to do with the Iranian National Guard.
If we want to stop this barbarism, we must stop all of it, including that supported by those with business and financial ties to the lying, cheating, thieving, murderous businessman-politicians who are in control of our economy and our government.

As a psychotherapist couldn’t help notice the flaws and disorders in your personality through your posting. I am quite confident that the characteristics displayed by you are result of childhood sexual abuse by your dad and possibly other family males (uncles.Daddy`s friends).
It is important that you don’t seek comfort by blaming the Iranians and try and seek counseling and professional help, perhaps you could start the healing process by openly admitting the abuses you suffered with other posters, this can certainly help you.
You poor child go to the police and try and confront the evil burning inside you, blaming the Iranians won’t help you.

If we defined various entities of governments by their acts, I wonder how KGB, CIA or Mossad would rate under the unbiased scrutiny of some objective judgement authority about who is 'terrorist' and to what degree. What about the near total destruction of Grozni, Chechnia and for what crime? And I wonder how they would rate the attempted assassination of Fadlallah by the CIA in Lebanon in '85 which claimed more than 80 innocent dead, dozens of still-wandering-around maimed, but yet failed to nail their guy. And what about an Israeli F-16 dropping a 2000 pound bomb on an apartment in Gaza, killing 15 innocent civilians and maiming many more for life, in an attempt to assassinate one alleged terrorist; or using a TOW missile to assassinate one man (but others too) attending his brother's funeral; or helicopter gunships using rockets to assassinate people with no regard for 'collaterals'; or raining millions of unexploded cluster-bomblets on Lebanon after the cease-fire agreement, creating 'gifts that keep on giving', so that there have been more innocents lost AFTER the 'war' than the total of Israelis killed during it. This is how Israel uses the armaments we American taxpayers supply them with. So who are the REAL terrorists then? When the horror is directed from the highest levels of a government, then it cannot be compared with some poor hopeless kid strapping on a suicide belt.
I find it utterly amazing that all this violence around the world regardless of where or who it is against, always involves a Muslim. I do not even have to skim down the article before I see the forces led by Islamic extremists or Arab extremists or some Muslim group. Try it yourself. It is shockingly amazing.
Then when the dust settles they try to pin it against someone else.
I have 2 observations from this:
First there is a world war taking place. We do not even want to see it.
Second there is a massive distortion and misinterpretation of the religion of Islam. How could the leaders (both political and religious) of these countries allow this horrible distortion of such a beautiful religion???
How sad to be a Muslim today, and what distorted and bankrupt values these people now share.
Finally some are realizing what I been yelling to humanity since the 9/11 madness.... World Peace=Disarm Islam. Make it an international crime to sell any weapons to any muslim anywhere with an automatic 10 yearsentence served in an Arab prison.
