'The US accuses Teheran of secretly pursuing a nuclear weapons capability ' ... same old song again. We already heard it once as 'The US accuses Baghdad of secretly pursuing a nuclear weapons capability '

Fool me once - shame on you. Fool me twice - shame on me.

I wonder who is going to believe it?

I do not understand why Bush & Cheney are so determined to attack Iran that they refused to negotiate in 2003 when Iran offered to meet all demands set forth by the US. Anytime Iran makes a step in a positive direction they shoot it down.

Cheney wants to attack Iran, period. He & Bush decided on regime change. So they ratchet up the fear talk, fabricate evidence and send out surrogates to pontificate on cable talk shows and write editorials in leading newspapers in attempt to scare the Americans enough to support their plans of dirty deeds. Iam not so sure it will work this time, but that is unlikely to stop them from acting on their wrongheaded convictions anyhow!

Their misguided determination to attack Iran, Bush, Cheney and other neocons do not see the trees for the forest. They are not thinking clearly nor using logical & reasoned thinking muchless common sense. To date Bush & Cheney's every decision proved dangerously counterproductive not only for the US the entire world, too.

Iran is not Iraq. They have an army and an air force. Iran, several times larger than Iraq, will be much more difficult to handle. If we cannot handle Iraq how the hell do they expect to handle Iran? The few who are still pro US will support their government and fight for their country. We were warned not to meddle so democracy can take hold. Democracy is not an overnight process; it cannot be forced at the end of a gun and certainly not from outside forces.

Iran has support from Venezuela, Syria, Lebanon, Russia, China. Even Iraq and Afghanistan leaders refute the US official story line about Iran.

Compare the Bush administration's dismal track-record with the IAEA's whose assessments were accurate. If you re_member the IAEA told us no WMD existed in Iraq. Like before the justifications to attack Iran changed. Are they testing to see which is more convincing? This ought to raise red flags.

The US has no right to invade a sovereign nation. We have no right to impose our dictates on other nations. It is against international law to start an aggressive war against a country that has not attacked or even threatened us. In addition to being intellectually dishonest Bush & Cheney's disregard for the rule of law and matters of life and death re_mind us that accusations are not truth.

Equally important if the US becomes a perpetual war machine the world will isolate us and could very well do more damage than we realize. Worldwide hatred and anger against the US will not subside for decades to come.

Is there anyone who believes Bush and Cheney could pull this off successfully -- look at Iraq and Afghanistan. Those whom refuse to learn from their mistakes and/or history are doomed to repeat it. Nonetheless these two refuse to do so.

Marked with blood and misery the Bush/Cheney White House legacy will be re_membered for its violence. And claims of bringing freedom to the Middle-East, they've denied us, ours. No signs of freedom nor democracy are taking shape in the Middle-East either. Instead violence rose exponentially; deaths are at an all time high; and spending exceeded limits far beyond expectations continue mounting.

Violence begets violence. Bush and Cheney can deny their history, but not the consequences from their acts thereof. There will be consequences. Unfortunately it will be left to us, we the people, to pay.

Americans must be vigilant: tell the administration circumstantial evidence is unacceptable. The outcome will assuredly resemble other US-war engagements, only worse. It will be a lose-lose situation for all concerned.

Whereas the man fought against colonialism, the Bush doctrine is to colonise and oppress others, suck their wealth in any and all forms.

QUITE THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT THE COUNTRY STANDS FOR!

When are we going to start the impeachment proceedings for Bush? We need to send Cheney packing with him also. They're causing one problem after another, and this country is starting to suffer for it. Nobody believes anything anymore that those two say or do. What if they're telling the truth someday? That could hurt us even worse if we and the rest of the world ignore those cretins!

It is rich the US criticing Iran for not signing onto the NNPT Additional Protocols when the United States itself has refused to sign up to it.
