Mahdi army leader killed in west Baghdad (Extra)

Baghdad - A group of gunmen killed a leader from Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr's Mahdi Army in west Baghdad, while the militia retaliated by killing four Iraqis and causing scores of families from the region to be displaced, a police source told independent Voices of Iraq news agency Friday.
Unknown gunmen killed Hamoudi Naji, the leader of Mahdi army in Washash region, in west Baghdad Thursday night, the source added.
The Mahdi army retaliated immediately by attacking two houses in the area, and killing four people from the two families.
Scores of families left the region after the attack, the source said.
