Baghdad - At least seven Iraqis were killed and five others wounded, including some policemen, in a twin blast in Tikrit city, witnesses said.
Two car bombs went off consecutively targeting Iraqi cars queuing outside a gas station and another in a parking garage downtown in Sharqat district, the witnesses added.
The two blasts caused damage to the nearby buildings and stores.
Tikrit, the capital of Salahaddin province, is about 170 kilometres north-east the Iraqi capital Baghdad. It was the hometown of the executed ousted president, Saddam Hussein.
