Dec 18, 2007, 5:30 GMT
Ramallah - An undercover Israeli military unit Tuesday shot and killed an Islamic Jihad leader in the West Bank town of Qabatia, according to official Palestinian sources.
They said the unit ambushed the car in the town, near Jenin, and opened fire at it killing Tareq Abu Ghali and wounding two others who were with him in the car.
The unit took the body and the two wounded away but residents said they found the car and saw a pool of blood inside it.
The condition of the two wounded was not immediately known.
