Next Arab Summit to be held in Qatar, Assad says (Extra)

Damascus - Syrian President Bashar el-Assad, president of the 20th Syrian-hosted Arab summit, announced on Sunday that the next Arab summit will be held next year in Qatar.
'I'm totally confident that Qatar will continue to develop what has been decided in this summit. Here I'm closing a two-day summit and hope to meet next year in Qatar,' said el-Assad.
His comment came as the Arab leaders were wrapping up their two- day meeting in Damascus,, with Arab League Secretary General Amr Mussa reading the final statement.
