Protesters demand release of Syrians in Israeli prisons

Damascus - Syrians demonstrators gathered Wednesday in front of the Red Cross office in Damascus calling for the release of Syrians in Israeli prisons.
Protestors carried banners demanding the release of the prisoners and medical care for Syrian captive Sitan Nimr al-Wali. They also urged the International community to help al-Wali, who suffers from cancer.
Al-Wali has spent over 24 years in Israeli prisons. According to media reports, his health deteriored as a result of the conditions in solitary confinement, and he also underwent kidney removal surgery.
