Jun 13, 2008, 11:54 GMT
Sofia - The 155-strong Bulgarian troop contingent in Iraq is to be deployed to Baghdad by mid-2008 in accordance with a parliamentary decision Friday.
Bulgarian troops would safeguard a 'reintegration facility' as part of the international troop contingent by December, as part of the decision.
At present, Bulgarian soldiers are stationed 70 kilometres north- east of Baghdad where they are protecting a refugee camp.
Bulgaria joined the US-led coalition troops in Iraq in 2003. Since then, a total of 13 Bulgarian soldiers have been killed.
