Hamas: Negotiations with Israel out of question
Jun 21, 2008, 10:58 GMT
Gaza City - A spokesman for Hamas on Saturday said negotiations with Israel is out of the question and that the Islamic movement will never recognize 'the enemy.'
Ismail Radwan also slammed negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority in remarks made two days after Israeli Premier Ehud Olmert said he was ready to compromise in making peace with the Palestinians and Syria.
The Islamic movement has had control of the Gaza Strip since last June when it routed security forces loyal to President Mahmoud Abbas. Hamas often slams Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations and has called on Abbas to halt his bi-weekly meetings with Olmert.
On Thursday, an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire between Hamas and Israel took effect in the Gaza Strip. Under the agreement, Israel is expected halt its attacks in the Strip and ease economic sanctions in exchange for an end to Palestinian rocket attacks against southern Israel.

It really is unfortunate that the Israeli air force spent the week doing dry runs over the Greek Isles when they have so much work to do in the skies over Gaza. Hamas will have to eventually be destroyed, the Israelis should attend to the work at hand.
