Jul 2, 2008, 14:13 GMT
Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt - King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived Wednesday in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh for talks with Egyptian President Hosny Mubarak on developments in peace talks between Israel and both the Palestinians and Syria.
On Tuesday, Abdullah had telephone talks with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad which the Jordanian royal court said focused on current Arab issues.
Ties between Syria and Egypt are strained by their deep disagreements on the recent political standoff in Lebanon.
