Iran's Ahmadinejad predicts "abolishment of US empire" in region

Jul 14, 2008, 16:02 GMT

Tehran - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Monday predicted 'abolishment' of the United States empire in the Gulf and Middle East region, ISNA news agency reported.

'The world order is swiftly changing and we have to prepare ourselves for the abolishment of the US empire,' Ahmadinejad said n a meeting with Iranian ambassadors in the Gulf sheikhdoms.

'Our ambassadors (in the Gulf) should believe from the bottom of their hearts that the US domination in the Gulf and Middle East will soon come to an end and accordingly revise their approach and relations (with the Gulf states),' the president added.

Ahmadinejad also called on the ambassadors to assure the Gulf sheikhdoms that US efforts to expose Iran as a military threat were baseless and convince them that Iran was the 'centre of peace and stability in the region.'

Iran has in recent days reiterated several times that recent missile tests by the Revolutionary Guards were no threat to the Gulf states but just a reaction to military threats by the US and Israel to hit Iran's nuclear sites.

If we the people of the west desire peace then we should act as we speak. The Middle East is the business of the middle east and their lives should not be dictated by other Nations. It is truly time for the US and it's small bunch of Allies to leave.

The world is a changed place. Bullies and bullying doesn't work anymore.

The sooner anyone realises this, better off everyone will be.

This holds true for all outside powers who try to oppress others. This is also true for the local elites, who are more interested in pleasing their masters in Washington or Europe than working for their people. This is not sustainable and will collapse in the long term.
