Egyptian doctor accused of stealing patient's kidney
Jul 23, 2008, 14:29 GMT
Cairo - An Egyptian man who went to hospital to have kidney stones removed discovered weeks later that his kidney had been stolen by the doctor, a local newspaper reported Wednesday.
For two months the 43-year-old happily thought the kidney stones that gave him trouble had been removed until he received an anonymous phone call.
The caller told him that his right kidney had been stolen during the operation, the Egyptian Gazette newspaper reported.
X-rays confirmed the claims by the mysterious caller.
The victim, a taxi driver of meagre means, paid the equivalent of 227 US dollars for the operation.

If it wasn't such a tragic thing to happen, it would almost be funny - to in for surgery and come out with missing body parts!!
