Al-Qaeda confirms death of chemical weapons expert in US airstrike
Aug 3, 2008, 23:08 GMT
Cairo - The international terrorist organization al-Qaeda confirmed on Islamist websites Sunday that its chemical and biological weapons expert, Abu Khabab al-Masri, had been killed in a US airstrike on a Taliban hide-out in Pakistan.
Three other al-Qaeda members and an unnamed number of children were killed in the airstrike on July 28.
Al-Masri, also known as Midhat Mursi, is believed to have headed al-Qaeda's weapons-of-mass-destruction programme under the code name al-Zabadi (curdled milk).
He is believed to have planned a thwarted chemical attack on the Jordanian capital Amman in 2004.
Even before the fundamentalist Taliban regime was driven out of Afghanistan by the US and its allies following the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington DC, al-Masri was employed as al-Qaeda's instructor for unconventional warfare.
In Afghanistan, the Egyptian-born terrorist carried out poison-gas experiments on dogs.
He wrote several manuals on how to produce and use improvised chemical and biological weapons.
Washington placed a 5-million-dollar bounty on his head.
Experts say his death will be a major blow to the international terrorist network and its ability to strike.
US missiles destroyed a Koran school in Pakistan's semi-autonomous tribal region of North Waziristan on July 28.
Pakistani authorities initially said that six people had died in the attack: three foreign extremists and three local boys.
It was already suspected at the time that al-Masri was among the dead.

That's right SP, this is total nonsense. We know that all the action is taking place in Iraq. That's where al qaeda is, comes from, and always has been. And that's where our TAD [Terrorist Attraction Device] is located, to pull in and kill real enemy. That's where al qaeda planned and launched the 9/11 attacks, and that's where we're going to eventually find osama bin laden.
Leave it to the lunatic fringe who control the MSM to perpetrate lies about Pakistan, our most important ally in our war on terror. The absurd idea that there are any al qaeda living in safe havens in Pakistan is just libnazi anti-American propaganda generated by those who want us to lose in Iraq. Such an absolutely outrageous lie ranks high with other libnazi lies that are only meant to slander our trusted friends in Pakistan. We have heard such wicked fairy tales before, such as the fictional stories about osama bin laden being given sanctuary in Pakistan, or the completely nonsensical suggestion that al qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan have created a huge narco-terrorist enclave where they trade hard core drugs to buy weapons.
There is no way that lies like these can have any truth, and the treasonous libnazis spreading these lies should be arrested and shot as saboteurs.
...yeah...sure...(???), but none of that really answers the question: Why would AL QAEDA come out with this???? How does it benefit them to admit this?
Great. I'm glad the piece of sh!t is gone !
