UN's Ban, Germany, join condemnation of Syrian terrorist attack

New York - The terrorist bombing that killed at least 17 civilians on the outskirts of Damascus on Saturday was strongly condemned by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Ban extended his condolences to the government of Syria and the families of the victims and wished those injured a speedy recovery, the UN said, adding that Ban called for the perpetrators of this crime to be brought before justice.
In Berlin, Steinmeier said he was deeply concerned 'by the number of dead and injured.'
They joined earlier condemnations from the UN Security Council, Jordan's King Abdullah II and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
