Five killed, one injured north of Baghdad (Extra)

Baghdad - Five people were killed and another injured on Wednesday in two separate attacks in the northern city of Tikrit, according to police sources.
A number of locals chased gunmen in a village south of Tikrit, and started shooting them, leading to the death of four gunmen and the wounding of a fifth who was later arrested, police sources told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.
In downtown Tikrit, a police officer was killed after his car blew up. An explosive device was put in the car while he was inside a restaurant, sources said.
