Mumbai terrorists targeted Israelis to avenge "atrocities"

New Delhi - The only terrorist captured by Indian security agencies after the Mumbai siege has said that their mission specifically targeted Israelis to avenge the 'atrocities' against Palestinians, a newspaper report said Sunday.
Azam Amir Kasab, 21, told the investigators that they targeted the Jewish Centre in the Nariman House in south Mumbai, where many Israelis come and stay during their visits to India, the Times of India report said.
Investigators have told the NDTV network that Kasab, a Pakistani national, had admitted he was a member of the Lashkar-e-Toiba militant organisation headquartered in Pakistan.
Sources also told the Times that Kasab's colleagues killed in the operation had stayed in the Nariman House earlier.
'They have stayed in the Nariman House on rental basis identifying themselves as Malaysian students,' a source told the newspaper.
The police were trying to find out how Nariman House rooms were given to non-Jews. Police also took all the record books for their investigation.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry on Saturday said nine people - most of them Israelis - were killed at the Nariman House.
The ministry confirmed that Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg, who led the ultra-Orthodox Chabad-Lubavitch movement in the Indian commercial capital, and his wife Rivka were among the dead.
Nariman House was targeted by suspected Islamist militants on Wednesday as part of a series of attacks on Mumbai which killed at least 183 people.

Dear Friend(s), I can understand the anger you have in you and believe me, I am angry more than you. These terrorists must be stoned to death. Having said this, I must also mention that your understanding of Islam is not correct. You have been given to understand the passages from Quran that talks of Jehad. But they have been quoted out of context. Quran does not advocate killing the civilians like these terrorists are doing. Also you talk of 'burning down of Makkah' - no this will not waver our faith. Kaba in Makkah is just a direction for us. Our faith is in one and only one God, the same God whom Jews and Christians worship. Let us try our best to mitigate hatered and anger and work towards getting these terrorits to their knees. It is only the collective effort and a hollistic comprehension of the problem - that will help. Once again, let this be noted that I and many other muslims like me hate these terrorists more than you do. I do not think that the way these terrorists have adopted is sane and valid.
it is interesting that everybody blames Islam for every thing going on in this world but we overlook the atrocity by Israel against the Palestinian , as long as there is this conflict between them will never be peace in the world. The Israel and Palestinian issue is the root of the problem, so if Israel really wants peace ,stop stealing their land and start treating them like human being, when you treat them like animals, they will turn on you like animals

As sad as this event was, but sadder yet as well are the deaths of thousands of innocent Kashmiri muslims at the hands of Indians, as well as the deaths of thousands of Palestinians at the hands of the Israelis.

I say all three of the decendents of abraham are aggressive, intolerant and violent. To lay the 'blame' on any one is an absurdity. They all three perpetuate this onslaught on human dignaty. The christians contributed to the start of all of this violence by their attacks on islam in the middle ages, and the muslims and jews continue to perpetuate it (gleefully ... i think!!!) by their continued attacks on each other and on christians. none of these religions make any since at all - created by fantisists and perpetuated by more of the same or power obsessed manipulators who are followed by fools. If you want to eliminate 90% of the violence in the world, eliminate all three of these religions, blow up their 'places of worship', burn their books, and put anyone who professes a belief in them in jail. i for one am getting sick of all three.
Have to agree with Rick ; we must resolve the long standing Kashmir and Palestinian issues before we can expect to negotiate around the numerous corners of ' terrorism ' Are the lives of Kashmiris and Palestinians not worth than those of the Indians and the Israelis ? Might cannot always be right!

The Israelis are also responsible for the atrocities that the Sunnis in Iraq are comittting against the Shiites, like the mosque suicide bombing this week. Keep this fact in mind, and repeat it often.

Sure. The Pope says that Islam isn't a religion of peace; so muslims burn down churches to prove him wrong.
The danish cartoons are viewed as insulting to Islam, so muslims attack Scandinavian embassies.
The Israelis bulldoze houses in the Palestinian territories, and the muslims kill a bunch of Hindus (and a handful of Jews).
Can't they think of a better excuse for mass murder? Does anyone seriously believe that they'd stop killing unbelievers, if Israel somehow ceased to exist tomorrow?
Islam is a religion of murder, and its followers have no place in the modern world. They are the single biggest threat to civilization and sanity the planet has ever known. They are a cult dedicated to the death of everyone who refuses to conform.
Islam must be destroyed completely or we'll never be out of the shadow of these lunatics. Maybe when they see Mecca burned to the ground, their faith will start to waver. If that's what it takes, let's do it, the sooner the better.
